WITCH PUPPETEER

Hi All,
Well, I finished the witch doll. I call it "Halloween Puppet Show".

She's 22 inches tall and 13 inches wide. The witch is all cloth, while the little puppets are sculpted of paper clay. I hand painted the "backdrop" on her skirt with acrylic paint, which is made of a heavy cotton. The hip drape is made of antique burgundy velvet, lined in orange dupione silk. There's antique lace on her sleeves and I used a crochet doily for her collar. The bodice and sleeves is black velour.

Her face is of doe-suede fabric and needle-sculpted.I fashioned the mop cap out of dotted lace fabric while trimmed in vintage-looking lace.

If you look hard, you'll notice the little black bat on the bow at the bottom of her bodice, while a spider charm is hanging at the top of the skirt.

Enjoy!

Hi Arley, Once again you've captured the most perfect expression on the face. The whole piece is fantastic. Glad you got it finished, it was worth it.
