Gonna try this tomorrow, thanks for sharing!<br />Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5868835343674521109.post-21639191425377742082017-04-11T16:41:15.894-06:002017-04-11T16:41:15.894-06:00Nice work Arlely. I tried to singe the edges of a coffee filter the other day and the whole thing went up in a hurry. Did you singe it after the glue?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11946181426860900882noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5868835343674521109.post-40201259881380228092016-09-30T12:59:12.470-06:002016-09-30T12:59:12.470-06:00Hi Deborah,

I think I glued the tails on first, so the wing would cover the top of the twine.Arleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08492510622806167894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5868835343674521109.post-29087567035522555152016-09-13T13:03:56.086-06:002016-09-13T13:03:56.086-06:00These are just wonderful! Can't wait to try my hand at them. :)Deborahhhhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00586720894662675506noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5868835343674521109.post-2987929283246723892016-09-12T20:13:36.999-06:002016-09-12T20:13:36.999-06:00Hi Kelly,

I used a heat gun and hot glue to pose the skellies to make them look like they're flying. The wings are made with 3 lengths of floral wire, tied together. At the top of the wing (the "thumb") I bent the 3 wires down to make the "fingers". I laid out the wire frame on tissue paper and gave it a coat of white glue (use wax paper or plastic wrap on your work surface, or you'll glue the wings to your table!)After it dried, I trimmed the tissue paper to size, leaving a 1/4 inch at the top edge. I flipped it over, glued the tissue edge around the wire, and gave it another coat of glue. If you have any more questions, e-mail me. Like, what were the paints that you used and, did you use any kind of a glaze? Did you pain the whole skeleton or just the tissue paper wings? I bought myself a semi-large skeleton and am looking to make it into one of these fellows. If you could provide maybe a list of the things you used to make them, that would be very helpful. :o)Being a Contemporary Domestic Goddesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08386592286531047472noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5868835343674521109.post-12461952232149946682016-03-16T14:02:30.694-06:002016-03-16T14:02:30.694-06:00These are so cool.
