I'm hard at work, trying to finish my latest doll --
"Goblin Masquerade". You might remember, I posted the concept sketch a while back:
Here's her body, with the dress. Her arms are almost done, but I haven't attached them yet:
And, here's the head sculpt (unpainted). It's a fabric stuffed head, with a paper clay mask sculpted on the face:
Okay, I have to get back to work. This doll needs to ship out by next week!!!

Very nice and green fabric is gorgeous. What type of fabric is in the center? Beautiful
She's going to be beautifully ugly! lol.
Do you have any tips on clay over cloth?
Hi. The underskirt & the triangle in the center of the dress is a layer of dark orange silk dupione. Over that is a layer of gold/green lace embroidered with orange thread & green sequins. All the fabric in this doll is from "Treasures of the Gypsy". She doesn't have a website, but you can email her at: GypsyTreasures@cs.com -- Arley
Hi Stella,
The best advice I can give is to paint a layer of white glue on the fabric before adding any paper clay. This makes it stick to the fabric better. Remember -- the clay has a cellulose (paper) base to it. If you wanted to adhere paper to cloth, what would you do? Glue it, of course. Also, with paperclay, it's works best if you build up layers gradually, letting the clay dry before adding more.

The gold green lace overlay is just gorgeous Arley. Thank-you for the information and your kind reply.
