MORE APOTHECARY

I SHARED MY WITCH'S APOTHECARY WITH MY ARTIST FRIENDS, AND THEY SUGGESTED PUTTING SOME DETAIL PHOTOS UP.
SO, HERE THEY ARE:
THESE BOTTLES ARE ALL NAIL POLISH BOTTLES, EXCEPT "EYE OF NEWT" - THAT'S FROM THE TIM HOLTZ COLLECTION.
"OCTOPUS INK" & "DRAUGHT OF LIVING DEATH" ARE THE POLISH THAT CAME IN THE BOTTLES. "SPIDER VENOM" IS DISH SOAP.
"EYE OF NEWT" ARE THESE FUNNY STYROFOAM BEADS THEY SELL TO PUT IN GLASS VASES. I DREW BLACK PUPILS ON THEM WITH A SHARPIE MARKER, AND PUT THEM IN THE BOTTLE WITH SOME VEGETABLE OIL.
I MADE ALL THE LABELS & TAGS ON THE COMPUTER.
THE JAW BONE IS FROM A MUSKRAT SKULL I HAD FROM ANOTHER PROJECT.

"ASHES OF CROW" IS A VINTAGE BOTTLE MY FRIEND, NANCY, GAVE TO ME FOR THIS PROJECT. THAT'S A METAL BIRD SKULL ON THE TOPPER - A PIECE OF JEWELRY I HAD FOR YEARS.
"PIXIE TEARS" & "VAMPIRE BLOOD" ARE NAIL POLISH BOTTLES. I GLUED JEWELED PIECES TO THE "TEARS" BOTTLE, AND PUT GREEN MIDORI LIQUEUR IN IT. THE "BLOOD" IS OIL & FOOD COLORING.
"MERMAID SCALES" IS A TIM HOLTZ BOTTLE WITH GREEN SEQUINS IN IT.
THE TINY LIQUEUR GLASS I FOUND AT THE THRIFT STORE. THE FAKE EGG CAME FROM THE CRAFT STORE.

"LIFE RENEWAL POTION" BOTTLE IS MADE FROM WOODEN CANDLE HOLDERS GLUED TOGETHER & A BROKEN EARRING GLUED TO THE NECK.
I STITCHED THE VOODOO DOLL & STAINED IT WITH INK.
THE "COFFIN NAILS" IS A SHOT GLASS FROM THE THRIFT STORE (WITH SOME RUSTY NAILS IN IT).
THE SKULL IS A PLASTIC PARTY FAVOR I BOUGHT AT HALLOWEEN & DRIPPED RED CANDLE WAX OVER IT.
THE PENDULUM IS MADE FROM A FEW BEADS STRUNG TOGETHER.

I'LL BE TEACHING THIS AS A CLASS AT "CHINA PHOENIX 2" IN A MONTH OR TWO. -- CHECK OUT THEIR BLOG HERE.http://chinaphoenix2.blogspot.com/

It can be so ideal plus jam-packed with a lot of fun for me personally and my office colleagues to visit your site at the least three times per week to learn the latest stuff you have got. And definitely, I am also certainly fascinated for the great tips and hints served by you. Selected 4 points in this post are really the most suitable we've ever had.

Wow, a fellow apothecary lover, I think we may have been born in the wrong century! I love the background images in each section, perfect idea to make each shelf a little piece of artwork all on its own. The detail is amazing, great work!
I'm off to check out your website.
